Dr. Jack Davey BVetBiol/BVetSc (Hons I), MANZCVS (SAS), Dip ECVS (SA)
This two-day workshop will provide you with a comprehensive understanding of how to perform TPLO, and how to assess and treat meniscal disease through a mini-arthrotomy. This workshop includes dry labs, patient-specific cadaver practice, radiography and personalised Decision Support for immediate feedback.
TPLO offers the best long-term outcome of all cruciate disease treatments. However, due to its complexity, traditional TPLO can be out of reach for many veterinarians.
At OssAbility, the learning curve has been removed by creating a TPLO Guide that gives you precise control of the osteotomy position and rotation correction, as well as a patient-specific preoperative plan provided by our specialist-backed Decision Support service, so you can perform TPLO surgery with confidence. For more information about OssAbility’s specialist-backed Decision Support service, visit www.support.ossability.com.
This workshop includes a hands-on dry-lab using dry bones paired with VOI TPLO implants, and your completed dry-bone TPLO model is included in your ticket price to take home. Back in the clinic, it’s a valuable tool for walking clients through the procedure, so they can see exactly what their pet’s surgery involves and feel confident in the treatment plan. It’s also a practical resource for explaining TPLO to your nurses and colleagues, and a lasting reminder of the technique you learned.
